Shellac Class Aug 2013

Back in August, Pete and I did a two day class on shellac as a fine finish at the Marc Adams School of Woodworking. (www.MarcAdams.com) We brushed it, padded it, sprayed it and French polished it. We added color to the shellac and made a toner and we applied a pigmented glaze between coats of shellac to provide depth. We even got out our old favorite “secret” glaze – roofing tar and mineral spirits and used that between coats of shellac to add depth to the finish. The next class Pete and I will be teaching at Marc Adams is a five day Furniture Refinishing class, October 7th through the 11th. Hope to have some great before and after pictures to share!
